Strategy to prepare for all MBA exams simultaneously

It is possible to study for the CAT, XAT, and CMAT as well as NMAT, CMAT, and CET simultaneously.

Yes. These exams are designed to test your aptitude and general knowledge.

Basic level tests are given for Quant, Reasoning, and Verbal in CMAT, CET. TISSNET. SNAP. SSC CGL. Bank PO. NICL. These are speed tests and one must have a solid foundation, along with sufficient practice to improve speed and efficiency.

While CAT, NMAT, and XAT are application-based tests, IIFT, CAT, XAT, and NMAT are both CAT-based. These tests test Quant, Reasoning, and Verbal at a higher level than the previous exams. You will need to master the basics, learn new concepts and problem-solving skills, take lots of mock tests, sharpen your logic skills, and do critical analysis.

3-month Strategy

To gauge your aptitude, you should first go through the pattern of these tests and then attempt the previous year's question papers. To improve your aptitude, you will need to refresh your concepts and take the mocks (customized). In a few months you can brush up on concepts, then start to try mocks and analyze them thoroughly. Done!

6-month Strategy

If you are lacking in Quant or Verbal (or both), then it will be a harder job. Before you can start the mocks, you need to get your basics right. It may take more than six months to feel confident in a particular section. This is where patience is key. The first and foremost thing is to accept your current status and to stop comparing yourself to others (who have sound basic principles).

DON T Compare your preparation with other

Comparing yourself to others will only hinder your chances of success. You may also waste your time trying to be better than them faster than necessary. Make smart moves and give each part the time it deserves. Enjoy your preparation. This is crucial. Do not give in to the pressure. Let the section where you are weak say "OK, man, I surrender!" Let me be alone for a while. It is better to set your schedule/strategies than having someone else do it. Once you are in a managerial role in a company you will be expected to guide and tell others what to do. You can enroll in a CAT online coaching program or learn from a mentor, but you should create your strategy and add his advice to fill the gaps. Your journey is led by you. Mentors and coaching institutes are the supporting cast that will make your journey a success. The rich dividends will be reaped by you, the leader. You must make the most of your efforts.

Mock Tests & Analysis

Mock tests are very important for high-pressure and critical exams like the CAT.

There is very little room for error in CAT. If you miss five minutes of concentration, your percentile drops dramatically.

It is important to remember:

  1. Make sure to take enough mock tests to get familiar with the question paper format.
  2. Mock tests can help you devise your strategy.
  3. You can also use mock tests to discover your strengths and weaknesses.
  4. This will improve your speed and efficiency, so you can maintain complete concentration throughout the Exam.

General Knowledge

General Knowledge is last but not least. GK is the hero without whom the picture would not be complete. GK can be helpful in interviews at B-school as the panel might ask you any questions and put you under pressure. Reading articles and other Business newspapers every day can help you build a solid GK. You will improve your vocabulary and comprehension skills by reading the newspaper every day. GK - To woo her .... you will make her a fool. You can ignore her and she will abandon you in the final seconds. GK is often the key to success. GK in Hindi is the clincher in many cases. Give her the respect that she deserves and she will help to realize your goals.
