4 Commandments of CAT Prep from August

If I begin preparing now, can I pass CAT 2021? This is the big question. It is possible, but the ship has not yet sailed. The path forward isn't so simple. What should you do in the next 4 months to achieve a great result? We will be looking at the 4 Commandments of CAT Preparation starting in August. You can still score a fantastic score on CAT if you adhere to them.

1.Cross the Rubicon

Circa 50 BC was the time when Julius Caesar received an explicit request from the Roman empire not to cross the Rubicon. Doing so would have been considered an act de guerre. Caesar is believed to have said alea iacta Est--the die has been cast-- before proceeding to cross the river. The phrase "cross the rubicon" has been used to signify irrevocably taking a particular course of action.

2.Vantha malai. Pona ____ Thaane

Tamizh has a famous street saying that literally means this. Grab a strand and attempt to capture the mountain. If you succeed, the mountain will be yours. But if not, you'll lose a strand.

We often exaggerate the risks involved in a venture. The CAT exam is a competitive exam. It is also highly competitive. However, the MBA is neither foolproof nor recession-proof. All of this is true about CAT and MBA, very little is relevant for CAT preparation. You will be 15% smarter if you are positive and have prepared well for four months. Is there anything not to love?

3.Keep going, don't expect instant results

Mock scores are not guaranteed to be stable. They will fluctuate. Good reading habits can lead to great rewards over the long term. Keep believing that you are doing the right things, don't worry about every variable, and just keep going.

Students often feel discouraged by percentiles, and then they don't have the energy or motivation to prepare for class. You can also expect results two days after you have created a strategy. The link between effort and the outcome is strong. Your targets should be anchored around your efforts.

4.What are you prohibited from doing if you sign-up for CAT prep training?

Quora/Facebook is not the place to spend 45 minutes a day. You can't participate in the four interesting conversations in your WhatsApp group. It is simply not possible to get outraged at yet another thing you read on the internet. You can also draft detailed responses on forums. You cannot be a WhatsApp hyper-participant or keyboard warrior, covid expert and binge-watch specialist as well as a sickular-targeter, sickular-baiter, and covid expert. It is okay to watch football, even though we may have 2 more years.
